How to move your Google Drive files to Microsoft 365:
◊ Go to https://takeout.google.com/ and sign in to your Google drive.
◊ The process will walk you through the steps to create a zip file that will export to your computer.
◊ In the section that says "Create a New Export", click on the "Deselect all" link.
◊ Scroll down a little on the page and check the box that says "Drive"
◊ Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Next Steps"
◊ The default selections will apply for you, so there should be nothing to change.
◊ Scroll down and click on the "Create export" button. This will start the export process.
◊ You will receive a message like the one below letting you know that the export process could take a long time. You can monitor the progress on the site, however, when the export zip file is complete, you will receive an email.
◊ Your email from Google will look like this... Click on the Download your files link. It will redirect you to the website. (NOTE: You may have to log in again)

NOTE: **Most browsers will automatically download files to your Downloads folder.
◊ If you are not already logged into your OneDrive, do so now.
◊ On your Windows desktop, click the OneDrive cloud icon in the System Tray (located in the Windows Task Bar), and choose "Open Folder" on the menu. This will open your OneDrive in folder view.
◊ Find where the .zip file is locate, right click on it and select "Extract All". For ease in locating after the extraction, extract the files to the default option which will be the Download folder, or onto your desktop. Select all of the files in the new extracted folder and drag them into your OneDrive folder.
◊ The files will start uploading and syncing to OneDrive, as indicated by green check marks.
◊ Don't forget to RESHARE any documents that you need to.
◊ After you have successfully moved all of your files, please return to Google Drive and delete all of your files, so we can downsize our Google footprint.
