Centerspace encourages team members to fulfill their civic responsibilities by serving jury duty when required.  Regular full-time team members are eligible to request up to 2 weeks of paid jury duty leave over any 2-year period. 


Jury duty pay will be calculated based on the team member’s base pay rate times the number of hours the team member would otherwise have worked on the day of the absence.  If team members are required to serve jury duty beyond the period of paid jury duty leave, they may use any available paid time off or may request an unpaid jury duty leave of absence.  


Team members must show the jury duty summons to their manager as soon as possible so that the manager may make arrangements to accommodate their absence.  Team members are expected to report to work whenever the court schedule permits.


Either Centerspace or the team member may request an excuse from jury duty if, in Centerspace’s judgment, the team member’s absence would create serious operational difficulties.


Centerspace will continue to provide health insurance benefits for the full term of the jury duty absence.
