When operating requirements or other needs cannot be met during regular working hours, nonexempt team members may be given the opportunity to volunteer for overtime work assignments. All overtime work must receive the manager’s prior authorization. While overtime must be paid when worked, a team member can be disciplined for working overtime without prior approval from their manager.
Overtime compensation is paid to all nonexempt team members in accordance with federal and state wage and hour restrictions. Any hours worked over 40 in the workweek (Saturday through Friday) will be paid at the rate of one and a half times the regular pay. Overtime pay is based on actual hours worked. Time off for PTO, holidays, on-call, travel, other available paid leave, or any leave of absence will not be considered hours worked for purposes of performing overtime calculations.
