QRG – CRM IQ – Managing Lease Charges
Begin or end a recurring monthly lease charge including pet rent or team member discounts. NOTE: To manage rentable items such as parking, garage, storage, please follow this QRG to create the charge and linked to the unit in the system.
To add a recurring lease charge (ex: pet rent):
1. Navigate to the resident profile > General > Lease Info > Lease Charges and click Add Lease Charge.
2. To select the appropriate Charge Code, click the ellipses to search. Enter the charge details.
NOTE: The charge “From” date should be on the 1st of the month. DO NOT enter a “To” date. Click Save.
3. A pop-up will appear to confirm the charge is added.
4. Return to the Lease Charges to ensure that the recurring lease charge appears as expected.
5. Update the lease by following the steps in this QRG – CRM IQ – Generating a Mid-Term Lease.
To add a recurring lease discount (ex: Team Member discount):
1. Navigate to the resident profile > General > Lease Info > Lease Charges and click Add Lease Charge.
2. To select the appropriate Charge Code, click the ellipses to search. IMPORTANT: Enter the charge details as a negative amount. NOTE: The charge “From” date should be on the 1st of the month. DO NOT enter a “To” date. Click Save.
3. A pop-up will appear to confirm the charge is added.
4. Return to the Lease Charges to ensure that the recurring lease charge appears as expected.
5. Update the lease by following the steps in this QRG – CRM IQ – Generating a Mid-Term Lease.
To end a recurring lease charge or discount (ex: removing pet rent):
1. Navigate to the resident profile > General > Lease Info > Lease Charges and click on the edit icon on the charge.
2. Enter a “To” date.
NOTE: If this date is not the last day of the month, you may need to adjust the ledger with a prorated, one-time charge or credit. Click Save.
3. Return to the Lease Charges to ensure that the recurring lease charge appears as expected.
