QRG – CRM IQ – Managing Pets
It is required to manage the information and update the lease for adding or removing any pets, including Service Animals.
To add a pet:
1. On the resident profile, follow the steps to access the Pets tab and click add one.
2. Enter the pet information on the pop-up.
- NOTE: It is important to indicate if this is a Service Animal only if the necessary documentation is received and approved. Click Save.
3. Navigate to the Ledger to create the following charges according to the terms of the property and the date the pet will be added to the household by following the steps for each fee: QRG – CRM IQ – Posting a Charge
- Pet Deposit (DEPPET)
- Nonrefundable Pet-Fee (PETNRFE)
- Monthly Pet Rent (PETRENT) – one-time charge is only applicable for a prorated amount if pet is added after the 1st of the month
4. Navigate to the Lease Charges to create the recurring Monthly Pet Rent (PETRENT) following these steps QRG – CRM IQ – Managing Lease Charges
5. Generate and execute the Mid-Term Lease by following the steps in this QRG – CRM IQ – Generate a Mid-Term Lease.
To remove a pet:
1. Navigate to the Pets tab on the resident profile and select the delete icon.
2. Click OK to confirm.
3. A pop-up will appear to confirm the change.
4. If the pet is removed prior to the last day of the month, you will need to create a credit for the prorated days the pet is not in the unit. Follow the steps in the QRG - CRM IQ - Posting a Charge.
5. End the recurring monthly pet rent charge on the last day of the month the pet is in the unit by following the steps in the QRG – CRM IQ - Managing Lease Charges.
